What are the course fees and what does it include?

Course fees are £425 per course.  Fees include catering during course breaks, course handouts, access to online course revision material and an original McKenzie products Treat Your Own Back Book.

Do the courses need to be completed in a specific order?

Part A must be completed first, and Part D completed last.  The order for completing Parts B and C is at the discretion of the course participant.  Completion of Parts A to D is a prerequisite for the Credentialling Examination.

Who can attend your courses?

Healthcare professionals including; Medical Doctors, Physiotherapists and Chiropractors. Osteopaths and, Sports and Athletic Rehabilitation Therapists.

Who teaches the courses?

The teaching team for the MDT courses are all highly experienced practitioners. Each of the McKenzie Institute International accredited instructors have achieved the highest level of training in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.

Those involved are qualified physiotherapists, HPC registered and have extensive experience in working with MDT, and are currently practicing clinicians who utilise the Method on a daily basis. Individually all have years of post graduate experience in the clinical field of physiotherapy, both NHS and the private sector. Each has a variety of educational and clinical post graduate qualifications to Masters and PhD level working both within education and as clinical experts. They are therefore well placed to provide you with a realistic educational process discussing and assisting in the management of patients and the use of all MDT options.

At what point in my training do I become a ‘certified’ McKenzie clinician?

Therapists who have completed the full course programme (Parts A to D) and have successfully passed the Credentialing Examination will attain Credentialed status and the right to identify themselves as ‘certified’ McKenzie clinician through use of the title: CredMDT.

What if I need to cancel or postpone a course I am booked on?

If you need to cancel or postpone please contact the UK branch as soon as possible to see what alternative arrangements can be made.

I want to keep current. Are there refresher courses?

Yes we run refresher CPD Clnical Skills days, or you can retake a full Part A – D course again at a retake fee of half price.

Can I host a course at my work location?

Yes, we invite interested people to discuss hosting courses with us.  We can offer incentives for you to host a McKenzie course, such as a free host place on the course. Please contact UK Branch Manager with any queries or requests to host a course.
