Eligibility to do the McKenzie courses in India

The persons desirous of enrolling for the particular programmes detailing the management of  treatment philosophy developed by Robin McKenzie shall be qualified Physiotherapists who are duly registered with the concerned authorities/bodies under the  laws for the time being in force, and/or those from the medical profession who are qualified post graduate doctors in allopathic medicine specialized in spine and extremity care only.  These programmes shall not be available for the medical professionals of other specialities or qualifications, or to the general public at large.  Such other medical professionals and the general public may participate in other awareness and general programmes conducted for them by the McKenzie Institute India.

A Physiotherapist cannot publicize as a McKenzie Therapist unless they have completed the MDT (McKenzie) Certification Process and attained a pass in the Credentialling examination. 

If you are from IAP recognised college

  1. Proof of your affiliation with the college that you have stated that you have passed out from, needs to be provided as attested true copy. This could be in the form of attested true copy of final mark sheet, or internship completion certificate, which has your name along with  the name of the Institution you claim to be a student of.
  2. Attested true copy of the IAP certificate or your state council certificate. 

Interns from IAP recognised colleges

Interns from IAP recognised colleges only, who would complete their internship by the time of commencement of the course can apply for the Part A,

  1. Proof of your being student of the said college you claim to be from, attested true copy.
  2. Final year mark sheet, attested true copy.
  3. Internship completion certificate from the college prior to commencement of the course. If you have just completed internship, and the ICC will take time in coming, you could provide us a letter from your Head of Department, on the letter head, stating that you have been a student of the said college, and have completed the internship on the said dates.
  4. Prior to your admission to the Part B, you will be required to submit the attested true copy of IAP certificate or the true copy of the regional council registration. 

If you are from Non-IAP recognised college:

  1. The rules and regulations prevailing at that point of time as decided upon by the IAP towards the procurement of the IAP certificate for students that have passed out from Non-IAP recognised institutions will have to be followed by the prospective participant to attain the IAP certificate.
  2. Proof of your undertaking and successfully passing the exam has to be provided and results will be checked on the website. Additional documents may be asked by the board or managing committee of McKenzie Institute India or McKenzie Institute International and it is at all times the responsibility of the prospective participant to prove the authenticity of his/her certificates.
  3.  We would at our end check in all students, if they have really sat an examination, when, where, and the result will be scrutinized, and if necessary these may be put up to the entire IAP committee  / IAP exam convenor / Academic committee of IAP.  
  4. If any fraud is suspected or proved in your acquiring any of your certificates towards doing the course, you may be debarred from the McKenzie course in India, either temporarily or permanently.
  5. In case of any discrepancies, the decisions of the board and managing committee of McKenzie Institute India and The McKenzie Institute International will be final and binding.
  6. Any dispute by the participant in relation to acceptance of the documentation and subsequent entry to the courses will have to be handled by the student and may be considered by The McKenzie Institute International, in New Zealand.  The Head Office of the Institute has advised their total support for any decisions made by McKenzie Institute India. 

Documents for participants from Non-IAP recognised colleges provide is:

  1. Proof of your affiliation with the college that you have stated that you have passed out from, needs to be provided as attested true copy. This could be in the form of attested true copy of final mark sheet, or internship completion certificate, which has your name along with  the name of the Institution you claim to be a student of.
  2. The proof of your undertaking the said examination at the said center that enabled you to get a pass in the IAP examination to procure the IAP certificate.
  3. The result of the examination and the period of time it was put up on the IAP website.
  4. If necessary, additional documents may be requested for as the board or managing committee or The Mckenzie Institute International deems necessary and failure on part of the candidate to submit those will result in the participant loosing the seat to the Part A of the MDT education programme.

In addition, all participants have to provide a signed Indemnity form, confirming that they will not infringe McKenzie Institute International © copyright or intellectual property.  The participant has to also confirm that the supporting materials they provide to enrol is legitimate and legal. If the participant infringes copyright or their supporting materials are not true and correct, they will be rejected from any further MDT (McKenzie) Education. If it is determined that any existing Credentialled McKenzie Therapist infringes copyright or previously supplied non-legitimate, non-supporting documents, their name will be immediately removed from McKenzie Institute India © and McKenzie Institute International © websites. Any such infringement of copyright will result in the McKenzie Institute International © taking legal action. 

Eligibility for Medical Professional in Allopathic medicine, in spine or extremity care.

  1. Filled up forms for the purpose,
  2. Complete payment of fees
  3. Attested proof of the passing certificate of MD / MS
  4. Attested proof of practising licensure from the Medical Council or the prevailing authority.
  5. In addition, all participants have to provide a signed Indemnity form, confirming that they will not infringe McKenzie Institute International © copyright or intellectual property.  The participant has to also confirm that the supporting materials they provide to enrol is legitimate and legal. If the participant infringes copyright or their supporting materials are not true and correct, they will be rejected from any further MDT (McKenzie) Education.
