This four day workshop (28 hours) will review and advance the theory and practical application of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in relation to the Lumbar Spine. Problem solving, reflective learning and clinical reasoning activities are utilised to refine the assessment, classification, differential diagnosis and management of patient's presenting with symptoms related to the lumbar spine. Practical sessions are utilised to develop skills in the application of both self-treatment and clinician procedures.
The theory and practical application of MDT for lower limb musculoskeletal disorders is presented. Lectures, patient assessments and practical sessions are utilised to demonstrate the characteristics and management of the syndromes as they present in the lower limb.
There is no online component to complete for this course.

This course is open to Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, GP's and Osteopaths who have completed Part A of the McKenzie training.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations received in writing at least 6 weeks before the start of the course will receive a refund less a £60 administration fee, or they can be transferred to another course within 12 months.
No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 6 weeks from the start date of the course.
Please ensure that the course is confirmed before making any non-refundable travel arrangements. The McKenzie Institute UK will not be responsible for any costs incurred if the course is cancelled. If the course is cancelled full refunds will be given, or registrations may be transferred to another course.

John Thomson (UK)
PT, Dip. MDT
Currently John’s time is divided between his role as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner within the NHS, running his private practice and his teaching commitments for the Institute. Along with Jenny Ross he runs the clinical component of the Institutes Diploma programme. This is the highest accreditation awarded by the Institute and they provide one of only a handful of venues throughout the world where this training can be undertaken. During each three month component they are responsible for providing active full time clinical supervision and mentoring to International therapists who are undertaking the clinical component of the Institutes Diploma programme.
